The WordPress Pages

Visit rulearning.wordpress.com for the majority of this blog's pages up to this point. In time I hope to be able to import those entries to this blog, but that's all up to the fine folks at Google at the moment.

Cheap Gas Hunt Meets Internet Tech

Wow, I'm impressed. I never use MSN for anything, but this is quite nice. There are other sites out there that basically do the same thing (gasbuddy.com) , but this is the only one I've seen with a map and easy-to-understand interface (so far, anyway). They scan local gas prices nightly so you're always more-or-less up to date. Just punch in your zip code & get a nice list with numerical references on an area map.

I love technology.

Music at ImaginON

The music group in the photo stopped into ImaginOn a few months ago while visiting uptown charlotte & treated us to a few numbers. A nice change from the usual electronic noises that usually occur in that area.

These are a few of the photos from my flickr account. Might try doing a class for kids & teens at some point, but somebody might find this useful for something ImaginOny.

Lifelong Learning (2)

Two of the seven lifelong learning habits tie for "easiest" for me:

- View Problems As Challenges
- Play

I take every opportunity I can to play, and prefer to treat problems as challenges because I really hate that feeling of being stuck. Having confidence that there's a way out of most problems is, to me, half the battle of solving the problem in the first place.

Lifelong Learning (1)

Learning Plan Worksheet

Potential Obsticles:
- Short on time

Affirmations:
- I'm always eager to learn and try new things.
- I find computer technology easy to understand.
- I'm motivated by challenges.

Learning Contract:
Obsticle: Short on time.
Overcome the obsticle: Set aside a specific amount of time for learning each day/week, and exercise the discipline to get it done.

Things I need for my toolbox:
- Time (hopefully uninterrupted)
- Computer access
- Flash drive
- Lifelines for when I get stuck

Can get help from:
- The Mrs.
- Co-workers
- Web communities

Path to my goal:
1. Establish schedule for quality learning time.
2. Establish tools/resources.
3. Communicate with others who share similar goals.
4. Continue to have fun.

Wow, I'm Diggin' It!!

Any excuse to bang away at a keyboard's a good one, as far as I'm concerned. Can't believe I got my first choice on the URL too!
